Two perennial meadow were created, one on the north side and one on the east side of Kinnerton Park, Higher Kinnerton. These two sites were created in 2022 using Boston seeds BSXM dual purpose 70/30 seed mix. In Winter 2022, the site was enhanced and over sown with Boston seeds Hedgerow & Light Shade Wildflower Seed BS7P 100% seed mix.
During the summer months you should be able to spot some of the following species.
This wildflower site is usually managed through one cut and collect a year between August and October. It is essential that cuttings are collected and removed. This reduces fertility and subsequently; the ‘vigour’ of the grasses year on year, which favours the continued establishment of perennial flowering species.
